Questions about CRUXLIFE

Who is on the Board?

Who do you work with?

  • We have taught Public High School Students how to survive in the wilderness, Middle school students to dance, religious kids to listen to the voice of the Father, and Church elders to lift up hurting members.  If you or your group would like to learn and desire to grow, we will work with you.

  • We also working to form relationships with disaster response organizations to provide training and assistance in the even of a natural disaster. Our long term goals include the ability to train and respond to these disasters with groups of volunteers.

How do I schedule a trip?

  • That is easy.  You can schedule a trip with us through one of our partners and request we help with the programming.  You can also contact us directly and we can help guide you through the process.

What kind of groups do you take out?

  • We love to help interested people learn, and give them hope. We have taken Bachelor parties canyoning, Father son trips 4x4'ing, rafting and exploring, college groups snow camping and mountaineering and we have rented gear to boy scout groups, families and just about anyone who the night before forgot something.

How much does it cost?

  • It depends on the activity but most trips cost between $50-$100 per person, per day.  Some cost more and some cost less and if you are a monthly supporter you always get a discount.

Where do you go?

  • All over the Northwest.  We have also helped planned trips and events all over the country.

What kinds of activities?

  • Rock climbing, caving, snowshoeing, challenge course, high and low ropes courses, rafting, hiking, camping, walking, urban exploration, rappelling, tree climbing, paint-balling, underwater basket weaving...

What kinds of content can I expect?

  • We believe that everyone can learn and grow.  With that understanding, you can request something for your group to work on (trust/ communicating hurt/ team building) or we can interview you and suggest a content block for your time with us.  We use a lot of material from Changes That Heal by Dr. Henry Cloud for individual maturing and group dynamics, Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs for couples and ultimately both of these and everything we do, teach and show is based on the example of Jesus as found in the Bible.

What can I expect on my trip?

  • We spend a lot of time on safety, responsibility and expectations to start.  Then we will challenge you to think, participate, stretch, reach beyond your comfort zone, and learn to lend your strength when you have it to offer and accept it when you need it.

Do I need to/how do it prepare?

  • The best preparation is a cultivation of curiosity, a desire to learn, and then show up.
